A summary of what fAIr is working toward and where each effort stands. It is meant for partners and contributors to follow progress. Figures are point-in-time and are dated where they change.

Model pipeline¶
fAIr is building an open library of geo-AI models across features, working toward around 20. Four features are available today (six model variants, since the buildings model covers RAMP, DINO, and YOLO), with more in development and planned. The full list and status is on the Models page, and the catalog is the source of truth.
Open Mapping Gurus¶
Training data is created by community mappers organized through HOT's regional hubs. As of 9 September 2026:
- 63 unique Gurus deployed globally.
- 5 of 12 deployment locations secured; further locations are in the pipeline, including 4 being set up in the Philippines.
